Black Bear in Dandelions,
Jasper National Park

Jasper is a hotbed for
black bears and it is not uncommon for me to find 5-10 in a day
during the spring and early summer driving and hiking about in the
park.
I photographed this
bear with a 300 mm lens from my car as it was eating dandelions
about twenty metres off of the roadside. Amazingly, not one
other car stopped during the hour or so that the bear sat there
gorging itself.
