This is one of my
favourite photos and also happens to my all-time best-selling
photograph. It has been featured on covers of magazines,
catalogs, calendars and is even on display at the Calgary
International Airport.
However, more than
anything, this one photograph symbolizes the type of photography
that I love. An image that shows a wild animal in its
natural setting, undisturbed and unperturbed.
I took this image
about a kilometre off of the Lake Minnewanka Road in Banff after
tracking the bull through a light snowfall for twenty minutes.
It was shot with a 100 mm lens at f2.8, using Fuji Provia 100
speed film.
