While backpacking
into the ACC hut in the Little Yoho River Valley in the summer
of 1999, I happened upon Laughing Falls just as the sun began
to set over the falls. Using a graduated split density
filter, which looks like a piece of glass with the top half
shaded in, I was able to darken the sky enough to allow me to
take a relatively long exposure, resulting in the smoothened
water and falls. This image remains one of my favourite
scenic photos.
