While she was busy walking along and tearing apart logs to get at the ants under them, her three young cubs (that's number three on the back of the card poking its head around the tree to look at me) were climbing up and down trees for an hour. Taken in late May, these black bear cubs are approximately three months old and are each only the size of a small housecat!
